Wednesday Mourning – We’ve taken it upon ourselves to inform the world of the most fascinating people alive, or at least those who we consider to be the most fascinating people alive. As often as we can we are going to feature someone here by asking them ten VERY important Pomegranate questions.
We are so honoured to feature, as our very first fascinating person, Miss Mourning, goth ingénue
Please, let us know of anyone you find fascinating; maybe we will feature them. If you send us a vegan cupcake, we will take you more seriously

The Pomegranate Questionnaire
1. Can you tell us a little about what you do?
I work as a model for alternative clothing companies, photographers and artists. I specialize in Dark Victorian, EGL and the Strange and Unusual.
I have dabbled in acting, but find modeling is more my forte.
2. Why that?
It is a wonderful way to express myself and to help other artists create their own dark visions.
3. Does it pay the bills? Does it matter?
I live in Los Angeles so not hardly! But it does not matter, I am compensated through fantastic images and at times some great custom pieces to add to my own wardrobe.
4. What book did you last read?
Currently I am reading BaneWreaker by Jacqueline Carey, next is Mister B. Gone by Clive Barker. As an avid reader I go through about 2 to 3 books a week. I am quite the Book Worm!
5. What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Draped in a cozy chair reading a book while a Texas style thunderstorm rages outside. Did I mention I was a book worm?
6. What achievement are you most happy about so far?
It would have to be modeling in an image that won American Photo Magazine’s “Image of the Year” for2007 by photographer Chris Anthony. That was a huge honor. And as a Star Trek fan I am very happy to be in the recent movie coming out in 2009.
7. What is your most treasured possession?
A small ceramic angel that once belonged to my Great Grandmother. It is dressed in a Halloween costume with the words “October Angel” painted on the base. She and I were both born in October, when I was born she passed it down to me shortly before she passed away.
8. Have you swooned in the cinema?
Tragedies make me swoon. I think those scenes affect me more than a traditional love scene. The ending of Romeo and Juliet is particularly beautiful in its sadness. In recent film, the ending of Sweeny Todd as he holds his dead wife while the life drains from him is particularly romantic as well.
9. Do you have a hero?
I don’t really have a hero, but I do have people that I respect. Generally I respect people that stand by their convictions and creative people that do not relent to popular trends. Siouxsie Sioux is a perfect example.
10. What is your motto or favourite expression or both?
I have always loved the expression “Beauty in Darkness”.
